We made these super-tasty blood orange margaritas a few weeks ago, so what better day to share the recipe than Cinco de Mayo?!
You can use any brand of blood orange soda – this is what was available at the corner market and it worked for us, but we’ve also used Whole Foods brand and San Pellegrino with equal success.
The San Germain floater really makes these next-level.
Blood Orange Margarita:
(Makes 1)
2 oz. Silver Tequila (we love Alto)
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice
Blood orange soda to taste
Generous splash of St. Germain
Margarita salt and lime for garnish
Use lime slice to wet rim of glass and then dip in salt. Fill glass with ice & add tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Fill with blood orange soda and mix, then top with St. Germain. Add lime to glass for garnish. Enjoy!
